Dot NAME Domains

Started in 2001, the .NAME generic top-level extension is the single TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wished to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and second-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domain names remained working.

Through our firm, you can grab your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to modify the WHOIS info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no specific rules on who can book a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the goal behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
